At Monteverde Cloud Forest Lodge in Costa Rica, every morning is an invitation for discovery, and every evening, a retreat into relaxation and rejuvenation. Named after Monteverde’s prolific Manakin bird, known for its joyful courtship dances, each Manakin Suite is appointed to take in and celebrate the lodge’s magnificent gardens and the surrounding 23-hectare private cloud forest reserve of mostly primary forest. From the privacy of your suite’s terrace, you can listen to a melodic symphony of birdsong and wildlife in Costa Rica and feel the soft kiss of mist on your skin as Monteverde’s infamous clouds are carried upon the cool mountain breeze.

Each suite has a spacious terrace with a cozy sitting area so guests can observe the spectacle of Monteverde’s cloud forest unhurried. Inside, there’s an ambiance of warm subdued elegance with natural hardwood, and artisanal accents. Guests can choose from either one King or two Queen beds with pillowtop mattresses, plush pillows, and the finest linens. The bright and spacious bathroom features naturally sourced amenities, soft bathrobes, twin vanities, and a solar-heated rain shower.

Tityra Junior Suites are enveloped in a sea of misty cloud forest where birdsong, hoots from treetop howlers and capuchin monkeys, and the chirps of myriad amphibians are the only sounds besides the wind through the trees. These elegantly appointed suites are named after the remarkable Masked Tityra birds inhabiting the forest’s highest branches. Their dramatic pale gray-on-black markings make them easy to spot against the emerald backdrop. Our beautifully appointed Tityra Suites are deliberately positioned so guests can observe wildlife in comfort from the spacious terrace and cozy seating.

The largest and most private of the Cloud Forest Collection, guests of the Tityra Junior Suites enjoy 80 m2 of living space, with one pillow-top King-size bed and luxury linens and pillows, as well as an integrated parlor featuring a delightful reading nook/daybed, a desk, and comfortable sitting areas. The oversize bathroom and dressing area are appointed to reflect Monteverde’s natural elements with stone, and wood accents, a glass-enclosed solar heated rain shower, twin vanities, soft bathrobes, and naturally sourced organic amenities.

Named after the brilliantly hued Euphonia bird whose melodic calls can be heard resonating in the private 23-hectare nature reserve, the Euphonia Deluxe Suites offer guests a retreat into a world of untainted nature and unbridled luxury. Listen to a symphony of wildlife as you gaze upon one of nature’s most elaborate examples of wild perfection from the comfort of your private terrace or while walking the surrounding trails.

Each suite is a 72-square meter luxurious cabin with one King or two Queen beds to accommodate up to four guests. Enjoy features such as pillowtop mattresses, plush pillows, and the finest linens. The bathroom is bright and spacious with twin vanities, soft bathrobes, naturally sourced amenities, and a solar-heated rain shower. The room itself imbues serenity and relaxation , wood furnishings, and artisanal craftsmanship.
